Hi, I'm Ren. Born on Central Coast and now lived in Surry Hills and Darlinghurst for 30 years. Being near the city and 24 7 convenience is important. Being able to walk down the street during the day and not being called a faggot is also important. I'm in my 50s and left the workforce 5 years ago - did accounting, some nursing, screen-printing and other silly jobs. Partying - been there, done that. I like to write, play on the computer, watch TV and DVDs, have large wide-screen TV and sound system. Over all I'm just an ordinary guy with a colourful past who's travelled a lot. I have lived in shared households before and now miss having people around. Not necessarily to party with but just as housemates. I have a cat 8 yrs old who is a street cat and doesn't use an indoor toilet. I'm good at organising household expenses, household grocery shopping - paying bills on time - and believe in the 'shared' aspect of a household. None of this who ate what, or someone complaining because there's no toilet paper left - share and respect others and their belonging. I would like a small group of similar-minded people to get together and rent a lovely grand old terrace house - modernised kitchen and bathrooms, polished wooden floors downstairs at least, large rooms, big open downstairs living and lounge areas with greenery in the backyard, upper sundeck on the second level and balcony at the front, minimum 3 bedrooms, bathrooms - one with a bath tube - large and roomy enough so that household members aren't tripping over each other. These houses are are out there. I would like the household to be a loose group of mates, but not necessarily close friends or anything. A household that shares duties and responsibilities, respect, and chips in. Students, part-time semi-retired, pensioners ok

About us
I am currently living in Canberra but am originally from Sydney and plan to move back soon to do my PhD. I have teaching and research work at Macquarie University so would like to live near there. I have a boyfriend who will remain in Canberra for at least this year but plans to come to Sydney every few weekends.
